100 Days of code – 55% complete
This challenge doesn’t stop, even for Christmas! I’m just going to do a quick update today, since I’ve been extra busy celebrating. I could have taken a day off yesterday, but I want to see if I’m able to do the full 100 days with no skips my first time through. I got in my hour of coding yesterday, but it was a close call! Here’s what my schedule looked like:
- Wake up and open presents at my Mom’s house
- Code for about 20 minutes
- Drive back to my house
- Clean up the house before my wife’s family comes over
- Code for another 45 minutes
- Finish coding right as the doorbell rings, with my wife’s family at the door
I’ve been playing with pygame some more, and I’m finished with my archery game. Obviously, there’s always room for polish and improvement, but I’m happy with where that game is. Also, I could see spending the next 45 hours of code polishing this game, but I’d still have a game that’s about the same as a Flash game from the mid 2000’s.
I think my next project is to get PyTone to work with Python 3.7 on a Windows 10 PC. I like the idea of running a music player in a command line style interface, because I’m a huge nerd. Just look at this interface:
Isn’t that the coolest? I think so! I’ll let you know in a few days how it turns out!
Happy holidays!
